David Ely

David Ely

Chief Executive Officer

In 1996, David Ely founded CisCom Solutions to serve the computer needs of small to medium-size businesses in the Kentuckiana area. Twenty years later, his business philosophy of developing long-term client relationships by providing outstanding customer service, has catapulted CisCom into a leading role in the local technology market. With a broad knowledge of IT systems, David continues to keep CisCom on the leading edge of technology by serving in many leadership positions with local and national business groups. When he’s allowed to take time off, David enjoys hiking, scuba diving, volunteering, and raising his two teenage sons.


Scott Walters

Scott Walters

Chief Operations Officer

A proud Hoosier, Scott is a Managing Partner at CisCom Solutions and has been with the company since 2000. Prior to meeting David, Scott owned his own Technology company, LiquidHouse Technology Solutions, which merged with CisCom Solutions in April of 2008. Scott is married with four children, so free time is not an option. He spends most of his time away from the office coaching his boys in the local youth leagues, watching his daughter cheer, or playing golf.


Ken Higdon

Ken Higdon

Chief Information Officer

With more than 25 years of IT experience, including 9 years of consulting and 19 years designing and maintaining small to medium-sized business networks, Ken is CisCom’s most Senior Level Engineer. Since starting his career with America Online in 1992 as a support technician, he has grown his expertise to include project management, routing/switching, network security, virtualization, phone systems, copper/ fiber network design, security camera systems, and access control systems. Some of Ken’s hobbies include traveling, time “unplugged” at the lake or in the mountains, and fishing.

Information Services Manager

As one of CisCom’s longest tenured employees, Dustin has occupied virtually every position. In his current role, he is tasked with the responsibility of overseeing day-to-day service and support to our customer base. Dustin holds many certifications with Dell, Microsoft, and Sonicwall, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Security from I.T.T. Technical Institute.


Scott Brawner

Customer Development Manager

Scott has been working in the technology industry for over 20 years. He started his IT career as the Travel Services Administrator for AAA Kentucky where his responsibilities included system implementation and support, product beta testing, and software training. He served on the advisory boards of multiple AAA software vendors to contribute to the advancement of their products. Since 2006 Scott has been working in the IT consulting business providing design, implementation, and support services for servers, networking, and VoIP systems. He holds several certifications, including Certified Sonicwall Security Professional (CSSP), Network+, and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP). In his spare time, Scott enjoys playing guitar.


Bob Ellison

Bob Ellison

Operations Manager

Bob joined CisCom as the Support Manager for the new Lexington office as part of the acquisition of Missing Link Managed I.T. in 2016.  He and his wife have since relocated to Louisville, and he serves as the Operations Manager for the company.

Bob is a U.S. Navy veteran, serving just under ten years as a submarine Nuclear Reactor Operator and Prototype Training Instructor. During this time, he learned the value of integrity and the importance of procedural compliance, systems redundancy, and preventive monitoring/maintenance. After his time in the military, Bob worked in various I.T. roles for military defense contractors, school districts, and local computer support providers. In 2002, Bob started Missing Link which grew to become one of Lexington’s first Managed Service Providers. He is married and has three grown daughters still living in the Lexington area.

Paul joins the CisCom team with over 25 years of experience working at all levels of IT organizations. As a lifelong Lexingtonian, he understands the opportunities and challenges facing businesses in the region. As the Lexington Branch Manager, Paul brings an excellent reputation for strong leadership, customer service, attention to detail, and creative problem solving to bear.

As an active member of his church, Paul serves on the worship team as an audio engineer and volunteers his time with several local and international missions.

Tom has held a number of sales, sales management, vendor relations and purchasing positions over the past 25 years. During that time he has worked with customers ranging from “mom and pop” businesses to Fortune 500 companies. Tom works with our engineers, vendors and our customers to craft a proper solution and that is delivered accurately and on time.

Accounting / Human Resources Manager

Tammie joined CisCom Solutions as CisCom’s Controller/HR Coordinator in September of 2011. She has 30 years’ experience in accounting and also owns a small bookkeeping firm located south of Lexington. Tammie is involved in her church, serving as Nursery worker, and Assistant Treasurer. She also enjoys traveling on Mission trips and has served in Mexico and Haiti. She enjoys reading and knitting in her down time.

Julie gives CisCom a wealth of experience with 15 years worth of invaluable bookkeeping experience.

When she's not endlessly staring at numbers for us, she enjoys travelling, hiking, camping, working with animal rescue programs, and spending time with her husband and dogs.

Andrew has 15+ years of sales management and customer service experience with “big box” electronics companies. Most recently working for T-Mobile US as a subject matter expert for B2B, mobile internet products & services, customer loyalty, and developing leadership training programs for internal succession planning.

He has a love for all things technology related, and in his spare time, enjoys spending as much time as he can with his 3 kids, serving at his local church, blogging, reading everything he can get his hands on, and travelling.

Marketing Intern

Rosa is currently pursing an Occupational Therapy major at Jefferson Community and Technical College. She is originally from Lima, Peru and fluent in Spanish and English, and she is continuing to expand her current language abilities by learning American Sign Language. Rosa has a passion for helping others, learning, expressing herself through art, and print modeling.

She considers her family the biggest support system in her life, so spending time with them during free time is most important to her. Aside from that, she is trying to broaden her IT knowledge as an intern here at CisCom Solutions.

To say that Stanley has seen it all would be a major understatement. With over 30 years of experience, managing and working in the technology industry, his breadth of knowledge is extensive. He currently maintains many certifications, including ones from Microsoft, Novell, Dell, HP, NEC, as well as others. Stanley served in the United States Air Force and enjoys, camping, fishing, and hiking in his spare time.

Terry has worked in the Technology field for over 10 years. At a young age, he began tinkering with computers and it eventually turned into a career in Information Systems. Terry went to school at Prosser in Indiana and focused on Networking, Security, and Cisco. After school, he worked in the Medical IT field for over eight years on the Help Desk, always focusing on keeping the client happy. Most of Terry’s free time is taken up with his three children and fiancé, but when he can squeeze out some time, he likes to research and play with emerging technologies with a strong interest in Security and System Administration.


David Hughes

Systems Engineer

David is a 15 year veteran of IT. Most recently coming from the YMCA of Greater Louisville. He was responsible for 16 branches across Louisville as the supporting Technology Administrator. His experience also includes 7 years as a support engineer with Maximum ASP and an associates degree in computer science.

When not immersed in technology, David spends time with Missy, his wife, and his daughter Kylie while enjoying kayaking, mountain biking, and playing ice hockey.


Kestin McNickle

Support Technician

Born in Berlin, Germany, Kestin is the son of a U.S. Army Cavalry Scout and eventually went in to the Army himself. He has called many places home over the years, including Egypt, Korea, Ohio, Tennessee, Indiana, Missouri, South Carolina, and eventually ending up in Kentucky. Like any good computer geek, Kestin loves playing with any type of new technology or gadget.


Adam Luken

Support Technician

Adam has been toying with computers since he was 6 years old... at the time a Windows 95 machine he would take apart just so he could put it back together. This has led to his enjoyment of building computers (everything from custom office, server, and gaming computers). Over the past 10 years, Adam developed a real passion for Network Infrastructures, and he has been actively progressing towards acquiring his Network+ and Cisco Networking Certifications.

In his spare time, he enjoys working on and driving his 2006 Mini Cooper JCW GP (Street Legal) Race Car.

Alex first discovered his interest for computers and electronics when the original Xbox was released. His curiosity was unleashed in trying to maximize the output and capabilities of the gaming console, and it carried this self-proclaimed "sports guy" into a future of IT. Over the years, Alex has continued to pursue the satisfaction of solving complex, technical problems and improving any project he can work on.

In addition to his tech prowess, Alex has studied to become a Communications major where he hopes to combine the world of IT and personal interaction to further people's understanding of what IT can do for them.

Terry grew up a self-proclaimed military brat. Moving out here from California, he has lived all over the world in Europe and South America. During his time with the military, he not only served as security escort at the US Embassy in Uruguay for GSO, but he also won an award for outstanding service from his Gunnery Sergeant.

While growing up, Terry found himself helping people with hardware and software issues in high school, and he went on to earn degrees in computer science and project management. In his free time, family is everything to him, so you will find him hanging out with his kids, frequenting the gym, and loving music.

First discovering his interest in technology during high school, Matt found himself engaged in Cisco courses and working at a help desk for Trinity High School. Since then, he has been pushed by that interest to figure out how different technologies work.

As a Louisville native and an eagle scout, Matthew spends his time hanging out with his closest friends at the lake going fishing, hiking, and camping.

Aaron has an extensive background as a System Engineer, Administrator, and Technical Support for multiple companies including Asus and Yum! This has made him very familiar with a wide variety of system environments and business requirements for seamless integrations.

As a way to relax from all that work, Aaron enjoys time in Florida, visiting northern Michigan, and being an active 4 Wheel enthusiast across Southern Indiana and Kentucky.

Charles has worked in the computer industry for close to 20 years and has an extensive knowledge of networks, both hardware and software. Along with being CISCO certified, he holds many vender certifications, and is our resident expert on Access control, Camera systems, and cabling. In his spare time, Charles has held various leadership positions and is currently the District Program Chair and assistant Scout Master for the Boy Scouts of America. Recently, he received the BSA Presidents award.


Cliff Kaufman

Considering himself a rookie in the IT field, Cliff is no stranger to the hard work required for infrastructure. He has worked for 13 years in construction including interior trim, exterior vinyl siding, doors, windows, gutters, and even building garages.

It makes sense then, that his hobbies outside of work involve working on vehicles and even building old muscle cars and trucks.


Jonathan Broyles

Systems Project Engineer

Although Jonathan has only been in the Technology industry for a little over 5 years, his extensive set of skills and knowledge rival many seasoned engineers. As a 2nd Level Support Engineer, you’ll most likely see him working on projects, such as data migrations, Skype for Business rollouts, email conversions, and his real passion… documentation. He is currently a Microsoft Certified Specialist, focusing on Hyper-V and Office 365. More recently, he has started to develop an interest in Cisco Networking, and telephony. When Jonathan isn’t in front of a computer, he spends his time restoring antique vehicles and brewing beverages of choice.

Mike brings to the CisCom team nearly 2 decades of network engineering experience. Over the many organizational transitions of Insight to Time Warner to Charter, he has configured and maintained customers from small business to national enterprise-level with an advantageous skill set in Layer 2 & 3 switching and routing.

Balancing his work with play, when you catch him out and about, he has been known to do everything from fishing, jumping fire pits with his motorcycle, riding a unicycle, and even earning the moniker "Magic" at his local hangout!


Tim Barrett

SharePoint Project Engineer

Tim started working with PCs and mainframe computers over 25 years ago. He spent 15 years designing, fabricating and servicing custom wheelchairs, environmental control units and voice-activated computers for disabled users. Tim is heavily involved in the Small-to-Medium Business (SMB) community and in 2004 he founded the Kentucky Small Business Server Users Group. He has co-authored two books on Windows Small Business Server and was the technical editor on 3 more Microsoft books. Tim holds Microsoft certifications in Networking, Small Business Server, SharePoint, Office 365 and Hyper-V. He was named on the SMB 150 influencer list (2010-2013) and has received the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award nine years in a row (2008-2016).

Aaron is, currently, 15 years into a second career, the first being a music teacher. Since 2003, he has been in the technology arena starting out as school-based tech support while teaching music at the elementary, middle and high school levels. Technology became more exciting than music, so he left the teaching profession to start a career in IT. Starting with the Department of Defense as a Helpdesk dispatcher, Aaron was afforded the opportunities to eventually move to network operations where he served as a systems analyst for 6 years.

Mr. Isaacs has recently moved to CisCom Solutions from a CIO position focused on Microsoft Azure. He is a Ph.D. candidate in Cyber Forensics, and he remains active in the music scene in Louisville serving as a member of the double-bass section of the Louisville Civic Orchestra. His wife of 21 years along with their 2 dogs reside in Louisville.

Jonathan has been interested in computers since the age of 5. Since that time, he has immersed himself in the technology field including the last 10 years professionally. Three of those years were spent in healthcare (in which he holds both a CHSE & CHPE Certification), and another 6 years were spent on a global team as a Microsoft Dedicated Support Engineer.

When Jonathan isn't thriving in the IT field, he enjoys spending his free time with his daughter, and you can find him working on show cars.

Tim joined the CisCom family in August 2015. His passions include; Jesus, his wife, and… Youtube. He started his career in the IT field doing helpdesk during high school, continuing to study Telecommunications Systems Management and Nonprofit Leadership Studies during college at Murray State University. At CisCom, Tim provides level one technical support. Tim would like to continue broadening his technical expertise with certifications and learning more about networking.

Gerald has the distinct honor of being the first employee hired by CisCom for the Lexington office. He has a passion for helping people and thoroughly enjoys diagnosing problem and working towards a solution. During High School, he obtained the CompTIA certifications: A+, Network+ and Security+. In his spare time, Gerald is either tinkering with computer hardware or playing video games.

After graduating high school as an honor student, Todd went straight to work for a big box retailer as a laptop repair technician. Since then, he has worked with all kinds of tech gadgets and was even a part-time music producer and DJ. He is CompTIA A+ certified, and is currently working on CompTIA Network+ and MCSA Windows Server 2016 certifications. With CisCom, Todd provides outstanding client service, Level 1 support, and hopes to broaden his knowledge of IT. At home, he enjoys playing with his two small children, fantasy football, and Sunday morning golf.

Ever since he was young, Josh has been really into computers and technology in general. He first used that interest to work for Geek Squad after high school. He spent a total of 7 years with that company as both a repair technician and eventually a supervisor before switching to our team here at CisCom.

Josh most enjoys spending his free time with his wife and daughter, mountain bike riding, attending Louisville football games, playing golf, and learning new things (such as expanding on his technical certifications).

Nick has had a life-long curiosity for all things electronic. Starting out years ago by simply taking devices apart just to attempt to put them together again, he eventually moved on to building computers for his family and friends, and most recently engineering video game servers. All of this experience served him well professionally for nearly a decade as a laptop technician and supervisor for Best Buy's Geek Squad City.

When he's not expanding his skills at work, he spends his time outdoors fishing, riding anything with 2 wheels, training his dogs, and enjoying life with his girlfriend.

He loves to experiment with different options until the one that works best reveals itself.
